Kids Cookery Lessons in Surrey and Pop Up Bake Clubs

Due to Covid-19 these classes are unavailable.

Laura Scott offers private cookery lessons for children aged 7+ in Surrey at the venue of your choice or at her home in Epsom, Surrey. With the rapid rise of obesity in youngsters, it is more important than ever to educate our children in the benefits of making food from scratch and limiting the amount of ready meals and take-aways they eat.

Laura’s cookery lessons are a perfect way to introduce fresh flavours, new ideas and techniques as well as learning valuable life skills that will encourage healthier eating and home cooking for them as well as you!

Cooking as part of group positively encourages children of all ages to work together, how to share and help each other and builds confidence in working their kitchen skills.  It is also great fun and educational to be able to communicate through food. At the end of the class the children take home all of their baked goods as well as the recipes so they can try them out again and again.

I’ll be changing up the menu again after February half term and I’ve also added Swiss meringue buttercream to my cakes. If you haven’t tried it yet you won’t believe how much more delicious it is than regular buttercream. Almost like a marshmallow mousse in texture and it can be flavoured with anything too!

I’ve been asked alot recently if I have any alte I’ve been asked alot recently if I have any alternative bakes for gluten free and egg free/ dairy free diets. The answer is yes although I’ve noticed most of them are chocolate based, mainly because I love anything chocolate and enjoy the leftovers. These are gluten free dulce de leche brownies and I also make a great vegan chocolate cake as well as gluten and dairy free cupcakes. I actually prefer these brownies to regular ones. Get in touch if you’d like something DF/GF. #glutenfreebrownies #howtocookgoodfood #epsom #surreychef #surreycaterer #glutenfreebaking #epsomandewell #surreybusiness #freefromgluten
