I’m currently trying to keep the children busy with a few activities such as baking, cooking and keeping fit. We’re all big fans of a sweet afternoon treat and now that we are spending all day every day at home, the need for suitable snacks and treats is more important than ever.
Instead of going out to shop for sweet things, I’m trying to get into the habit of baking and using up what I have in the cupboard. So, the first recipe I’m sharing with you are these simple store-cupboard flapjacks. So much better than shop bought flapjacks and much cheaper too.
Simple Store-Cupboard Flapjacks
A perfect recipe to make with your kids, using simple store-cupboard ingredients.

- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch sea salt
Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees
Line a baking tin/brownie tin with baking parchment
Melt the butter, syrup & sugar in a pan
Weigh out the oats, add in the sea salt & cinnamon
Pour in the melted butter mixture
Tip into the baking tin using a spatula
Flatten with the back of a spatula/spoon
